Today, I'm going to share with you the most common fees that we encounter in a family-based immigration case. I recommend that if you are filing your own case you go to two places on the immigration website.

Where to find the fees

First, look at the form that you want to file. There will be a fee listed in that section of the immigration website. In addition, on the same website, there’s a different page called the fee calculator that will also help you. So, let’s discuss particular forms and how much they cost at this point.

The filing fees

Currently, the filing fee for an I130 immigration petition is $535. An I129F, which is a fiancé visa application, also costs $535. Finally, an I485 application, which is the application for adjustment of status, i.e., the green card application, is $1225.

If you concurrently file the I765 work card application plus the I131 advanced parole travel document application with these other applications, the fees are included. You don't have to pay separate filing fees for those applications. If you have any questions, please let me know.
